Tokyo (HEROZ, inc.) – Masayuki Mochizuki (“Mochy”), who is the world’s No.1 professional backgammon player and the Global Ambassador of HEROZ, inc. (“HEROZ”) providing mobile applications with Artificial Intelligence (AI), has won the singles of the Super Jackpot of “INTERNATIONAL BACKGAMMON TOURNAMENT SOCHI CUP” held in Sochi, Russia from May 6th to 10th.
BackgammonAce Championship and “INTERNATIONAL BACKGAMMON TOURNAMENT SOCHI CUP” collaborated together, and HEROZ presented BAC points to the players who got high rank at SOCHI CUP.
HEROZ will continue to backup and encourage Mochy in every activity and devote to helping Mochy’s play and promoting backgammon around the world.

I got the good results at the international championship, held in Russia for the first time.
I achieved the first half of 2 point-level error rate at the semifinal and the final, which is better than the average I have at BackgammonAce.
Especially at the final, I am so glad to have won the strongest player, Michihito Kageyama, in both the result and the error rate.

■About Mochizuki (Mochy)
Born on January 9, 1979. Grown up in Tokyo. The first Japanese professional backgammon player. Mochy has won competitions in the world since 2003, World Championship in 2009 (the first Asian player ever) and Europe Championship in 2012. He has been ranked No.1 in the world ranking, Giants of Backgammon (the most authoritative backgammon ranking), in 2010-2011 and 2014-2015 (the first Asian player ever). In 2014, he participated in 14 International competitions, among which he received first place in 2 competitions in Texas and Munich and ended up getting a prize in all 10 other competitions. He is currently the captain of the selected team consisting of world’s best players and is also active around the world, devoting to promoting backgammon.
